Filming Review
My group and I have taken a pause from filming. The last day we filmed was Tuesday, March 23. The next day we film will be the last since we have completed most of the film. To better prepare for our next filming session, I am currently reviewing my role and lines. This way, it will be easier not only for me but for my group. This will help us to not have to reshoot the scene multiple times and take more time than needed. In the scenes that are yet to be filmed, my character has many lines and the acting has to be adeuqate. The scene where Emily drinks the tea, she has to faint and act weak. Practice makes perfect so the more I practice my lines and character, the more unchallenging things will go. Also, I have been looking into the story board my group and I completed. I have crossed out or set aside the scenes we have already completed in the storyboard. I have marked the ones we haven't. Thing I noticed while at our filming sessions was that we tended to look back at the storyboard very often. While doing so I have wirtten down ideas on how we could film certain scenes. For example, the scene where the mother hands emily tea and emily drinks it and it makes her weak could be shot as a zoom shot and at the same time, the camera to be moving in a mysterious way. Also, fading in and out would help the thriller suspense genre. Another scene yet to be shot is the final scene where the mom is looking at emily as she falls asleep. Within this scene, the mom's evilness could be emphaized with a close up shot/ low angle shot as she looks down at emily. This will show her power as she is portrayed as the villain as she has more power over her victim. The close up shot will also empasize the villains feeling through their face expression. In this case, the mom would be illustrated with a smirk. All in all, hopefully everything will go great as everything so far has and soon we will be ready to edit.
