Planning blog: Storyboard










A major step in our filming process was the storyboard aspect. In order to make sure every scene went smoothly to the next, this was a crucial step. This is a very big task which required numerous scenes that needed to be detailed. Majority of our scenes were taken in a mid shot or close up angle. This way we will be able to see the character’s faces more clearly, along with their expressions.

Filming Review

 My group and I have taken a pause from filming. The last day we filmed was Tuesday, March 23. The next day we film will be the last since we have completed most of the film. To better prepare for our next filming session, I am currently reviewing my role and lines. This way, it will be easier not only for me but for my group. This will help us to not have to reshoot the scene multiple times and take more time than needed. In the scenes that are yet to be filmed, my character has many lines and the acting has to be adeuqate. The scene where Emily drinks the tea, she has to faint and act weak. Practice makes perfect so the more I practice my lines and character, the more unchallenging things will go. Also, I have been looking into the story board my group and I completed. Title Research: The Invasion of the Body Snatchers

  The title sequence of this movie, from Watch the titles website, begins with introducing the novel that the movie is based upon. It also introduces all of the production companies involved. The lettering is in white, thin letters that have neon tones. It then shows the name of the main actor followed by the title. The title of the movie is in the same font as the previous titles. Followed by this are the rest of the actors’ names along with the crew involved in bringing the movie to life. Different images of planetary bodies and the circulatory system. Once, the title of the movie passes, and the rest of the cast and crew are shown, the background images shift from  outer space to images of cells and other aspects of the circulatory system. The connotations of these images are mysterious and uneasy. Outer space is a place that humans do not know much about. This connects to the movie being about unknown extraterrestrial creatures. Final Task: Title Design

  For the opening of our film, planning the title sequence has been an essential part of our work.  My team and I are planning for some of the opening credits of our film to have a normal contemporary font.  We envision most of the titles to be placed on different parts of the screen (not the center). We wanted the titles to give the audience a feeling of unpredictability, as the titles could appear anywhere on the screen.  The fonts will be in the color white and black depending on the background. The space between the lines will also have some place in between if necessary, so the words will be easy to see.
