Completing the scenes (filming)
As my filming journey with my group continues, we find ourselves concluding the filming process of our thriller film. This is the last week until our project is due and we’re almost completed. Today my group and I finished filming the scenes we had not yet filmed. One of our team members, Raquel, and myself had to travel for a week, therefore we were not able to film all of last week. We decided to film today and we finished the filming process. There were quite a few scenes left to be filmed. This time it was not very complicated for us as we were very well prepared for our filming day. To prepare for filming today, I worked with one of the team members, Hannah. Hannah and I decided to go over our planning blogs that have been published previously. Our storyboard is included in that blog. We went over our storyboard which has a total of 60 scenes. We analyzed each of the scenes. As I read the scenes to her, she developed new ideas as for the shots or angles. We decided to change some angles like the angles used when Emily goes into janes house. The mom is offering her tea. As we were evaluating the scenes, I was also highlighting the scenes that were yet to be filmed and leaving the scenes that were already completed as they were. This way, in the afternoon, while filming. We would know which scenes we had to film, they would stand out. We changed certain shots from certain scenes. Such scene was the mid shot where the mother is looking at Emily as she gives her the tea to a low angle of the mom looking down at Emily. After Hannah and I finished reviewing we printed out the scenes which has the highlighted scenes. We filmed at the same location, Raquel’s house. Certain scenes that were being filmed did not include me, therefore. I helped Hannah out by crossing out and eliminating the scenes on the sheet that we were completing to not get confused. My lines in the scenes we filmed today were not very complicated so I did not have a hard time saying them. What I did encounter some difficulty with was with the acting, the tea scene where I had to pretend like I was coughing was a bit difficult for me. It was a success and we were finally able to complete each of our scenes.
